Simplified Input
It’s easier than ever before to ask questions while switching modes:
Deep Research and Pro are now just one click away.
Auto routing for models is now supported in Pro search.
All model selections are now sticky, except for Deep Research.
For Pro users who want to choose a model, all choices are now in one dropdown: Reasoning is now part of Pro. Future models will be included here.
The vision is for questions to Perplexity to be handled as seamlessly as possible while allowing for customization across increasingly powerful modes. Available on web, coming to iOS and Android soon.
Live Information
Perplexity has dramatically improved answers based on live and trending events. Perplexity also now more reliably decides when to search the web for the latest information.
Faster Mobile Apps
Huge performance improvements and decreased data usage. Improved loading animations. Support for traditional Chinese.
Check Sources
Trust but verify: highlight answer snippets to check any claims against web sources. Click on sources to learn more and verify further. Check Sources is currently in beta and is rolling out to Pro subscribers first.
Visual Shopping and Travel Recommendations
Perplexity now displays rich media for shopping, hotels, and places directly in answers. Get a visual overview of recommended products, places, or hotels all in one place. Each place or product is shown alongside a detailed explanation of why it was recommended. This feature is currently in beta on web.
Student Referrals
Students get Pro for free: refer your friends to earn Perplexity Pro and Perplexity merch. Sign in with your university email on our Referrals page and copy your unique referral link.
Stay Informed with Finance and Crypto
Having trouble keeping up with the latest stock market swings? Perplexity Finance has a new search bar that gives you instant access to trending companies, ETFs, and coins. Keep up on the latest news and dive deeper on suggested questions.

Memory is in beta testing with plans to release to everyone soon. Memory allows Perplexity to remember details between your conversations, making your interactions more personalized and efficient.
Deep Research Alerts
Never miss an answer: Get an email notification when your Deep Research report is ready. Deep Research on web automatically sends an email notification if you haven’t seen an answer. Notifications for Deep Research on iOS and Android will be rolling out soon.
Perplexity Discord Bot
Add Perplexity to your Discord server to get your answers in your favorite servers or DMs without leaving the app. To try it out, join the Perplexity Discord and tag @Perplexity with your question!
