Alliance Global Group has trimmed its capital expenditure for 2025 to P63 billion, down from P68 billion last year, after a 12% drop in attributable profit to P17.2 billion in 2024. The bulk of the budget will support real estate arm Megaworld, with smaller allocations to hospitality, food, and spirits units.123

Megaworld continues to be Alliance Global’s main earnings engine, receiving P50 billion of the group’s 2025 capital budget. The real estate unit posted an 8% increase in earnings and record revenues last year, offsetting weaker performance in AGI’s spirits and leisure segments, which have faced global and domestic challenges.234

Facing higher costs and softer demand in certain sectors, Alliance Global Group is halving Emperador’s capital budget to P4 billion for 2025, while keeping allocations steady for McDonald’s Philippines and Travellers International. The diversified conglomerate aims to sustain growth despite a challenging environment for its liquor and leisure businesses.321
