The Pakistani rupee remained stable against key global currencies in the open market today, March 17, 2025. The US dollar traded at 280.4 PKR for buying and 282.1 PKR for selling. Other currencies like the Euro and British Pound showed minimal fluctuations, trading at 304.25 PKR and 363 PKR, respectively.12

The GBP/AUD exchange rate remained largely unchanged, trading around AU$2.0425. Despite favorable Australian GDP data showing growth from 0.3% to 0.6%, market concerns over global trade tensions offset gains. The UK’s services PMI also contributed to a relatively flat performance for the British Pound.3

Iran’s Central Bank reported fluctuating exchange rates for March 17, 2025. The US dollar increased slightly to 581,879 rials, while the Euro rose to 633,097 rials. However, on the black market, the dollar traded significantly higher at approximately 936,000–939,000 rials.4
