The U.S. government, in collaboration with Oracle, OpenAI, and Softbank, has launched the Stargate project, a $100 billion investment in AI infrastructure. This initiative includes constructing a vast data center in Texas and aims to bolster national security and U.S. industrial capabilities. OpenAI is also seeking $40 billion in new funding.1

Constellation Energy has announced its purchase of Calpine Corp., marking one of the largest power sector deals in U.S. history. The acquisition will expand Constellation's power generation capacity to 60 GW, reinforcing its position in low-emission energy and addressing growing electricity demand.1
