China has announced its 35-member team for the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, led by Olympic shot put champion Gong Lijiao. The event, featuring 700 athletes from over 150 nations, will include competitions in 26 disciplines. Gong, a seasoned competitor, opened the year with a victory at a national trial.1

Veteran athlete Gong Lijiao, along with 34 other Chinese athletes, will compete at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing. The competition, running from March 21-23, offers prize money up to $40,000 for winners. Rising star Li Chenyang and Tokyo 2020 medalist Zhu Yaming are also part of the team.1
