California Resources Corporation (CRC) has announced a strong financial performance for 2024, reporting $376 million in net income and $355 million in free cash flow. The company also saw significant progress in its carbon management efforts, securing permits for CO2 storage and signing agreements to sequester 5.4 million metric tons annually.1

CRC achieved key milestones in 2024, including a merger with Aera Energy, which delivered 70% of targeted synergies. The company focused on decarbonization, securing EPA permits for CO2 injection and storage while expanding its carbon management agreements. CRC also returned $303 million to shareholders through dividends and repurchases.1

Looking ahead, CRC forecasts capital investments between $285 million and $335 million in 2025. The company aims to increase production to up to 138 MBoe/d while continuing to integrate its asset portfolio.
