Innovator S&P 500 Power Buffer ETF - May Price & Performance (PMAY)

LPL Financial LLC has boosted its holdings in the Innovator U.S. Equity Power Buffer ETF – May (PMAY), raising its position by 1.6% to over 100,000 shares. Other institutional investors, including Raymond James and Whipplewood Advisors, have also expanded their stakes, signaling sustained interest in buffered equity strategies.12

Innovator ETFs has introduced the International Developed Power Buffer ETF (IMAY), targeting returns similar to the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF with a 15% downside buffer over a one-year period. This launch comes as investors increasingly seek products that provide both growth exposure and risk mitigation in volatile markets.34

Buffer ETFs, including those from Innovator, have seen inflows of $33.6 billion over five years, reflecting investors’ appetite for products that offer capped upside and downside protection. These funds appeal to those prioritizing certainty in returns, even at the cost of higher fees compared to traditional allocation funds.25
