Barratt Developments and Redrow have announced an all-share combination to create a leading UK homebuilder, valued at approximately £2.5 billion, with Redrow shareholders holding 32.8% of the combined group.
The merger is expected to achieve at least £90 million in annual pre-tax cost synergies by the end of the third year post-completion, with 50% realized in the first year and 90% by the second year.
The combined group aims to deliver over 22,000 homes annually, leveraging a complementary geographic footprint and a three-brand strategy (Barratt, David Wilson, and Redrow) to target diverse customer segments and price points.
