Sohu's Q4 2024 total revenues were $135 million, down 5% year-over-year and 11% quarter-over-quarter. Full-year 2024 revenues were $598 million, flat compared to 2023.
Brand advertising revenues for Q4 2024 were $19 million, down 7% year-over-year and 1% quarter-over-quarter. Online game revenues for Q4 were $110 million, down 4% year-over-year and 14% quarter-over-quarter.
GAAP net loss for Q4 2024 was $21 million, compared to a net loss of $13 million in Q4 2023. Full-year GAAP net loss was $100 million, compared to $66 million in 2023.
For Q1 2025, Sohu expects brand advertising revenue between $30 million and $40 million (annual decrease of 13%-19%) and online game revenue between $105 million and $150 million (annual decrease of 2%-11%). Non-GAAP net loss is expected to be between $16 million and $26 million.
Sohu repurchased 4.2 million ADS for approximately $52 million under its share repurchase program, with $100 million remaining for future buybacks. Management highlighted challenges in advertising due to weak macroeconomic conditions but noted growth in FMCG and electronics ad spending.
