The Thai baht, which gained 1.2% against the dollar this year, faces risks from tariff pressures and interest-rate cuts. Despite its gold-linked strength, strategists expect the currency to weaken further, potentially reaching 35 per dollar in three months due to a widening interest-rate gap with the US.1

The Pakistani rupee remained stable against major currencies on March 16. The US dollar was trading at 280.4 PKR for buying and 282.1 PKR for selling in the open market. Other currencies, like the Euro and Pound, also showed little fluctuation, reflecting a calm forex market.2

Iran's rial saw a decline in value as the Central Bank adjusted rates on March 16. The US dollar rose slightly to 581,030 rials, while the euro decreased to 632,733 rials. Black market rates remain significantly higher, with the dollar trading near 916,000 rials.3
