## Pro Searches

Pro subscribers get extended access to Pro Search. There's nothing to turn on: when you use **Search**, Perplexity applies Pro Search automatically for tasks like multi-step reasoning, detailed research, and complex projects, up to your plan's limit.

## Powerful AI models and search modes

**Selection of powerful AI models**

When you need detailed answers with extensive sources, choose from Sonar (in-house model), GPT-5.2, Claude Sonnet 4.6, or Gemini 3.1 Pro. These models deliver comprehensive responses with multiple references.

For complex analytical questions, choose from Sonnet 4.6 Thinking (or o3-Pro & Claude 4.5 Opus for Max users), and Grok 4. These models excel at breaking down complicated queries that require multiple search steps.
