OneDrive and SharePoint Issues
If you're having trouble connecting Perplexity to Microsoft applications, you may need admin consent approval. Here's how to get it:
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
Completed Carbon's managed OAuth flow and submitted the admin consent request.
Access to an administrator or designated reviewer role.
Getting Admin Approval
Have your administrator sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center (with at least Cloud Application Administrator privileges)
Navigate to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications
Under Activity, select Admin consent requests
Select the My Pending tab to view requests
Find and select the Perplexity application
Review the permissions and application details
Approve the request to grant access for all users in your organization
All requestors will be notified that their request for access is granted. This allows all users in your tenant to access Perplexity unless otherwise restricted with user assignment.
Permission Issues?
If you can't see the approval request under My Pending, the admin consent flow might not be activated. In this case, you'll need Global Administrator permissions to either:
Set up the admin consent flow
Consent directly through Perplexity's managed OAuth flow
Google Drive Issues
Google-specific settings may block integration. Here's how to fix them:
OAuth Scope Settings
If your organization can't set access to "Unrestricted," try these alternatives:
Select "Restricted: Only trusted apps can access a service"
2. Enable "For apps that are not trusted, allow users to grant access to OAuth scopes that aren't classified as high-risk"
Drive SDK Configuration
Check your Google Workspace settings:
Go to Google Workspace > Drive and Docs > Features and Applications > Drive SDK
Make sure to select "Allow users to access Google Drive with the Drive SDK API"
This setting is crucial as it allows Perplexity to work with your Google Drive files.
