Education Pro is offered to verified students and educators at a discount. It includes **everything in [Pro](https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/help-center/en/articles/10352901-what-is-perplexity-pro.md)** — access to Perplexity Computer, access to [Learn Mode](https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/help-center/en/articles/12120542-what-is-learn-mode.md), unlimited Pro Searches, file and image uploads, access to premium models, and more — plus education-specific tips and nudges.

This subscription price and tailored features are available to students or faculty who are looking to supercharge their teaching, learning, and maximize proven study methods for long-term understanding.

## How to verify with SheerID for Education Pro Plan Access

Perplexity accounts can be created with any email (personal or student). If you have an existing account, click upgrade in the bottom left corner of the app, toggle to the Education plan, and click “Verify as student.”

## Education Pro Support

As a Pro subscriber, you can access exclusive support channels:

    **Pro channel on Discord**: Connect with our team and other Pro users.
  </li>

  <li>
    **Contact Support**: Reach out directly via the Help menu on [perplexity.ai](https://www.perplexity.ai). Our team prioritizes Pro inquiries and aims to respond within 1 to 2 business days.
  </li>
</ul>

## Subscription Management

Make sure to cancel your Pro subscription before deleting your account, if you've added payment information.

If you subscribed on a desktop, [cancel through your settings page](https://www.perplexity.ai/settings/account). For app subscriptions, use your device’s subscription management settings.

## Why is my Pro Status not Visible?

If your Education Pro status isn't showing up:

<ul>
  <li>
    **Check for payment issues** – if you have a past due account, you may not get access to Pro right away.
  </li>

  <li>
    **Make sure your SheerID verification has been approved:** 

    <ul>
      <li>
        If it's still pending, you'll need to wait until SheerID verifies you.
      </li>

      <li>
        If you've been rejected, you won't be able to take advantage of Education Pro at this time.
      </li>
    </ul>
  </li>

  <li>
    **Verify you're logged in with the correct email.** 

    <ul>
      <li>
        You don't have to use the same email as your Perplexity account to verify with SheerID, so please ensure you remember which account you redeemed Education Pro on in order to be able to log in to the correct account and access your subscription.
      </li>

      <li>
        Sometimes users redeem their Education Pro subscription on an Apple Relay email – be sure to check for any masking emails you may have signed up with.
      </li>
    </ul>
  </li>

  <li>
    **Clear your cache and cookies.**
  </li>

  <li>
    **Try resetting the app**, if you're logged in on mobile.
  </li>
</ul>

## Verified but can't complete checkout?

If your SheerID verification is approved but you can't pay for Education Pro:

<ul>
  <li>
    **Use the desktop web upgrade flow.** Open [perplexity.ai](https://www.perplexity.ai) in a desktop browser, not the mobile app. Click **Upgrade Plan** in the bottom left of the sidebar, stay in the **Personal** view, and select **Pro**. Your verified Education Pro discount is applied at checkout.
  </li>

  <li>
    **Check for an unpaid earlier subscription.** If a previous subscription on your account is past due, it can block the discounted checkout and send you to a payment page for the full Pro price instead. Don't pay the full-price amount. [Contact support](https://www.perplexity.ai/?support=true#settings/account) so the team can resolve the unpaid subscription, then subscribe at the discounted price.
  </li>

  <li>
    **Check your payment method.** See [What payment methods do you accept?](https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/help-center/en/articles/10353002-billing-faq-for-pro-plan-subscribers.md#h_56f12e4d67) for supported options. If your card is declined, ask your bank to allow the subscription charge, then try again.
  </li>
