. You must be aware that Apple Intelligence has a stark downside— it's not complete yet. Apple integrated it as it is into their new product, promising users to provide the remaining updates in intervals

. It's meant to stand toe to toe with OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, but since it's still underdeveloped and people are already used to AI by now, it didn't elicit the reaction Apple was hoping for

Feature #1. Writing Tools

True to the name, "Writing Tools" are Apple Intelligence's array of AI text generators. You can find them in apps such as Mail and Pages, though Apple also allows third-party developers to use them.

The Writing Tools appear in a pop-up menu once you highlight some text. You can choose an order for the AI to execute, such as Proofread and Rewrite. You can also pick a style between Friendly and Professional. If the text is too long, you can pare it down to the essentials by selecting Concise and Summary/Key Points. You can even change the content structure to a List/Table.

Apple also gives you the opportunity to train the AI. The responses come with thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons, and whichever you click lets the AI know the kind of outputs that you think are good and the ones you think are bad.
