Teams have seen a lot of satisfied users after the introduction of Copilot. It is every organization's secretary, recording not just the minutes of a meeting but also transcribing every word that has been said1. Microsoft Corporate Vice President Jared Spataro proudly declared, "Our customers tell us Copilot in Teams has changed meetings forever—in fact, it's the number one place they're seeing value."2 In the following update, though, it gets even better. You will be able to converse with Copilot and ask it for certain details of the meeting from its transcriptions and chat entries3. This allows you not to miss a single topic that has been discussed2.

Copilot will make its way into Excel too. With the new update, Copilot will be able to analyze more than numerical data in tables. It can even examine text! This means you can better assess all the inputs you have in an Excel spreadsheet because Copilot can read and understand everything12. Python will also be incorporated with Copilot, which will enable it to make deeper analysis without any coding. Using only natural language processing, it can look into machine learning, risk analysis, and forecasting. If you have complex data, Copilot can make a presentation out of them34.

Every email user struggles with a flood of daily messages pouring into their inbox. You can't seem to know which ones are irrelevant and just plain junk or which ones you absolutely need to open and get your eyes on.12 If you're using Outlook, Copilot will browse through all your emails and tell you the select few that are worth your time and attention. This feature called "Prioritize my inbox" directs Copilot to arrange your pile of emails based on importance.3 It can scan the contents of each message and determine the relationship you share with the senders. Depending on the purpose of the email and how often you interact with another user, Copilot will make sure you see when something urgent or necessary comes up.45

As for Word, Copilot makes document creation more streamlined. If you need some data from the Internet or your work tasks, you can simply ask it and it will list the references you need12. Since Copilot is also connected with Teams and Outlook, you can get information straight from your email inbox and meetings34. Whatever kind of document you're working on, you can trust Copilot to give you the sources that you need56.

Powerpoint will have its share of the Copilot boost with "Narrative Builder". This is an innovative feature that lets you enter prompts to generate a presentation outline. With this, you can be better guided when you're structuring and creating your slides. But it doesn't end there. You can expect that Copilot will allow you to upload your own files so it can ground its outlines on your provided sources, a key to maintaining reliable information for your reports12. Another feature to look forward to is the "Brand Manager", which will enable companies and businesses to base Copilot-produced content on a brand template. You only need to consolidate your brand assets and Copilot will use them as a foundation for its responses1.

Copilot steps outside the bounds of the 365 Suite because it will attend to businesses after the upgrade. The next wave will bring in Copilot agents, assistants that can handle business automation. Microsoft shared, "They range in capability from simple, prompt-and-response agents to agents that replace repetitive tasks to more advanced, fully autonomous agents."12

To keep up with the other major tech companies battling it out in the field of artificial intelligence, Microsoft further develops its multi-purpose AI handiwork, Copilot, to improve the systems and processes of all the applications under its wing. From Teams to Powerpoint, the Wave 2 of Copilot will submerge the entire 365 Suite and more in innovation.12

This most awaited update is scheduled to become available for public use within the month. Regular users are free to explore the fresh features without any cost. However, the enterprise version requires a paid subscription.2 Microsoft has always been the leading and uncontested operating system installed in computers globally.
