The Minton Road and Waco Blvd paving project utilizes Full Depth Reclamation (FDR), a sustainable method that recycles existing pavement materials to create a stronger, more durable road base.1 FDR involves pulverizing the existing road to a depth of 12 inches on Minton Road and 8 inches on Waco Blvd, then stabilizing the material to form a new foundation.1 A fresh layer of asphalt will be applied to create a smooth driving surface.1 This environmentally friendly process enhances the structural integrity of the roadway, leading to longer-lasting results while reducing waste and the need for new raw materials.1

Ranger Construction secured the contract for the Minton Road and Waco Blvd paving project with a total bid of $2,810,577.77, which includes $1,222,539.55 for Minton Rd and $1,588,018.22 for Waco Blvd.1 The city selected Ranger Construction after a thorough verification process and contract discussions to ensure they can deliver quality work within the project's budget and timeline.1 The competing bid from Timothy Rose Contracting Inc. totaled $3,394,423.80, with $1,497,810.95 for Minton Rd and $1,896,612.85 for Waco Blvd.1
