Chicago's legendary Old Town Art Fair will celebrate its 75th anniversary on June 14-15, 2025, featuring over 230 nationally acclaimed artists, live music on two stages, a Garden Walk showcasing more than 50 local gardens, and activities for all ages in the heart of the historic Old Town Triangle District.
The Old Town Art Fair showcases an impressive array of 230+ nationally acclaimed artists working across diverse media, including 2D and 3D Mixed Media, Drawings, Paintings, Photography, Printmaking, Ceramics, Glass, Fiber, Jewelry, and works in Metal, Stone, and Wood.12 Each artist is meticulously selected by an independent jury of art professionals from the Chicago area, ensuring only the highest quality fine art is featured—with reproductions and crafts explicitly not permitted.12
What makes the fair particularly dynamic is its commitment to fresh talent—more than half of the exhibiting artists each year are new to the fair, creating an exciting mix of returning favorites and new discoveries for attendees.12 This juried selection process is highly competitive, with approximately 700 artists applying annually for the coveted exhibition spots.3 Visitors can easily locate their favorite artists using the Artist Index, which provides information on booth numbers, artist names, and media types to enhance the art exploration experience.4
The Garden Walk is a beloved highlight of the Old Town Art Fair, offering visitors a rare glimpse into over 57 select gardens throughout the Old Town Triangle neighborhood, including 8 new locations for the 2025 anniversary edition.12 Many of these green spaces are private and only viewable during the Art Fair weekend, making this a unique opportunity to explore the quaint urban oases that contribute to the neighborhood's charm.32
Your donation to the Old Town Art Fair includes access to the Garden Walk and a map of the self-guided tour, available at any entry gate.3 As you stroll through these hidden gardens, you'll discover historical information, fun facts, and anecdotes about the homes, architecture, and residents—both past and present.3 Special highlights for the 75th anniversary celebration include the gardens at St. Michaels Church and Midwest Buddhist Temple.1 Garden Walk maps will be available during the Fair at all gates and through the mobile app, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace.34
