Perplexity Connectors: Integrating Apps and Cloud Storage with AI Search
Perplexity Connectors allow you to seamlessly integrate with File App Connectors like Google Drive with Perplexity's AI search capabilities, enabling you to find information across your personal files. Here's everything you need to know about this powerful feature.
What Are Perplexity Connectors?
Connectors are integrations that allow you to connect your cloud storage services to Perplexity. For Pro subscribers the following integrations are supported:
Google Drive
Dropbox
We’re working on expanding integrations with other cloud storage services, too. Setting up a Connector enables Perplexity to search through your files to provide answers based on your content.
How Connectors Work
When you connect your cloud storage service to Perplexity you will be able to easily select specific files to sync with Perplexity.
Here’s what connection with your file app would look like:
At the moment, file syncing is not supported on the Pro plan. If you make changes in the original file, they will not transfer over to the file you have attached your Thread. You will have to re-upload the specific file to search the latest information.
Getting Started with Connectors
To connect your cloud storage service to Perplexity:
Visit your Settings page and find My Connectors in the sidebar
2. Enable the connectors you'd like to add your Perplexity account.
3. You will have to authenticate your account.
4. A successful authentication will say Connected
5. To edit files, click on the (...) three dots and then Upload.
